Anyway well done to you, more points =)

Competition!!!

Don't forget to hire your equipment and write those scripts, closing date is 4th March, seems a long time away but it isn't!!! You have half term next week so maybe that'll give you a very productive week!!!

If you're really into film-making I have found a couple of websites you could possibly check out

http://www.ukcompetitions.com/film-tv.html

http://www.bbc.co.uk/filmnetwork/submit

perhaps for you, perhaps not.

Good luck with your films once again. Oh, and last note, don't forget to get some suggestions in for this weeks film club. Reviews for last weeks Tarnation anyone??

The Stuff Dreams are made of...

This weeks competition is one that involves teams. Teams can be as big (or little) as you like, if you're feeling really brave you can even work on your own! Each member of the winning team will get 'winners points', so you choose your teams well!

So the competition you ask?

I want you to go out, book cameras, write a short script, find actors and make a trailer for a film. It has to be an original film made by YOU (that doesn't mean that can't be inspired by something else). You have to include ONE of the following:

The line: "Find the Way"

Something yellow

An old book

A children's park

The trailer can be for ANY genre of film and about anything you want. It cannot contain excessive swearing or gratuitous violence. You have three weeks, hand entries into Mr Goodyear or Lexi. NO entries will be judged after that, the winner will be announced at the end of the month and all the entries will be screened before the movie of the week.

GOOD LUCK!!!

THIS WEEKS REVIEW WINNER!!!!

For his review of 'Brick'

ALEX ELMS!!!!

Congratulations, I have added your blog link to the page.

Don't forget to get your reviews in for this weeks film 'Tarnation'
Goog Luck!

Points and Competitions

In film club we have decided to start and run a points system which will go towards an end of year Film clubber of the year award. Each week that YOU attend film club, a point will be added to your membership. The person with the most points at the end of the year (for both attendance, competitions and reviews) will win the Film Clubber of the year award and an amazing prize!

Not only will a prize be given for the most points, but also for the Film Club member who attends the most screenings!

Points can be gained other ways by winning competitions (that are set by Mr Goodyear and Lexi) and doing reviews.

GOOD LUCK!!!

REVIEWS
Each week we show a new film and you come and watch it. Now it's time to put all your media expertise to use. We propose that each week after you watch the film, that you write your very own film review, this could be presented in any way you want!

You could post it on a blog, make a podcast, a video review, presentation or a standard written review. You can include anything you want, your opinions, technical critiques, even a star system if you want!

Each review we receive will be displayed either this blog or the display board within the media department. The best review will be given bonus points to the member who posted it, so be creative!!! (you do get points for even writing reviews so give it a try ^-^)

Film Club Rules

We've come up with a few rules and would really appreciate it if you followed them. if you want to be a member of film club follow these simple rules and there won't be any problems.

Thanks ever so much and enjoy the film!

1. Have a good time!
2. Respect others, including their opinions and values
3. Respect the environment! Throw your rubbish away and put things back where they came from.
4. Don't use bad language, we don't use it, neither should you!
5. While we don't mind you bringing food/drink, please keep them away from the macs and clean up any mess that you might make.
6. Please turn off your mobile phone. Like a cinema it's really distracting for others members and you!!
7. Sign in each week, this makes sure you get your points!!!
